Ordination

Ordination is a Sacrament, in which the Holy Spirit imparts on a worthy chosen candidate of ordination, laying on of hands by a bishop to perform the Mysteries and to guide the flock of Christ. As apostle Paul writes: "Think of us in this way, as servants of Christ and stewards of God's mysteries". (1 Cor. 4:1).
The Sacrament act of Ordination is performed by a bishop. There are three primary ranks of priesthood: bishop, priest or deacon. The Sacrament of Ordination - kheirotonia takes place in a church during a liturgy.
