41st Conference of Russian Orthodox Youth - Fundraising
Carrying out the 41st Conference of Russian Orthodox Youth required not only a decision on the theme of the conference, search for a site, development of a program, invitation of presenters, search for sponsors, but also the organisation of various events designed to provide a financial base.
The organising committee spent much time discussing the possible events. The young people tried to organise events that would appeal to all generations. This is how the idea of an evening at Rheingold restaurant was born. All interested persons were invited to spend an evening in the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant itself, conversations at the table, a lottery and a tasty supper, which centred around a roast pig.
The next event was a ball at Capri Hall. The older generation spent the evening chatting around the table, while the younger generations did not only enjoy conversation, but also tried their hand at the waltz and tango. Russian dancing brought indisputable pleasure.
After that, the organising committee conducted a luncheon in the church hall and a disco. Whilst at the lunch, all demonstrated restraint, the disco, which required a costume for participation, allowed the youth to demonstrate thought, creativity and talent.
Undoubtedly, all events brought joy to their participants and added significantly to the conference piggy bank.
